The Cumberland Rescue Service provides 911 coverage for the Town of Cumberland, Rhode Island. Since its inception in 1979, the Rescue Service has grown along side with the needs of our residents. We currently run 2 full time paramedic level rescues. We have 18 full time employees and we work a rotating schedule of 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts followed by 4 days off.

We pride ourselves with providing exceptional emergency medical care and are always looking to improve that care through new equipment and education. We currently utilize 12 lead EKG's, capnography, CPAP, electronic PCR's, and mobile dispatch.

We also have a dive team, which provides search/rescue and recovery. Many of our divers are dive rescue certified as well as ice diving certified. We also provide services to near by towns and cities.

Also available to respond to any Mass Casualty Incidents is our MCI trailer. It houses the neccessary equipment needed to handle many patients during disasters and MCI's.
